Video: Alvaro Arbeloa stamps on David Villa, drags him to his feet

The Copa Del Rey Final between Barcelona and Real Madrid was a feisty affair to say the least. One of the match’s flashpoints saw Real’s ex-Liverpool defender, Alvaro Arbeloa, very deliberately treading on Barca striker David Villa.

The right-back then had the cheek to immediately drag Villa to his feet, insinuating that he was play-acting. Arbeloa and Sergio Ramos stop just short of frog-marching Villa off the pitch.

In footballing news, the cup was won by Real. Cristiano Ronaldo’s excellent header in the first-half of extra time was enough to secure victory for Jose Mourinho’s side, and ensure a huge morale boost ahead of the forthcoming Champions League semi-final clashes between the two teams.
