Fulham defender Philippe Senderos gave some insight into why Joey Barton is not the most popular figure among his fellow professionals by revealing a rather unusual tackling technique live on ESPN.

Senderos said: “I think with Joey Barton you know what to expect. You know he’s gonna come strong in the tackle and you know he’s gonna come in your face.

“You have to be ready before the match.”
