Oh, monkey mother

The Off The Post Podcast is back, and through a “Pod Member Plus Cash” deal we’ve managed to get Ben back in exchange for Stu and £3.50.

So while Stu is away camping with Arsene Wenger on the French Riviera, the rest of the team has cobbled a show which includes the following: why Anderson should be on the Sky Sports payroll, potentially libellous Harry Redknapp impressions, a horror miss in the Peruvian top flight, and how Delia Smith could get herself laid at Carrow Road in the future.

As per usual we’ll also have a full roundup of the best and worst of the weekend’s PL action, a look at the bizarre happenings in world football over the past seven days, and we also find out about the inner workings of the intimate relationship between Phillipe Senderos and Joey Barton. Sexy.

Videos:

Columbus Crew midfielder Josh Gardner having a minute to remember/forget as he rifles a rasping free kick past Kasey Kellar, before shinning into his own net a minute later. The madness starts 9.07 into the highlights, although the goal before is worth a watch too-echoes of a certain Tony Yeboah perhaps?

The man with one of the most cultural names in football, Israel Khan Gomez, sets the bar very high for miss of the season. If he’d just gone for the diving header on the line that we all wanted to see then things could have been very different.

Sit back and enjoy Turkish side Bursaspor’s plans for an outrageous new reptilian-themed stadium, innovatively called the Timsah Arena (which in Turkish literally means “Crocodile Arena”). Rumours that special lighting will be used to make the croc look like Kenny Miller on European nights remain unconfirmed.
