The Premier League’s biggest Christmas present came from referee Howard Webb. He gave Everton the present of one Premier League point by awarding the Toffees this penalty against Sunderland.

Webb pointed to the spot when Leon Osman tripped himself in the Black Cats’ box after an enormous miskick.
