Real Madrid have lodged an official complaint with Uefa after six pairs of boots were stolen from their dressing room before last night’s Champions League semi-final match against Bayern Munich.
Three pairs of boots belonging to Cristiano Ronaldo were nicked, along with footwear belonging to Karim Benzema and Mesut Ozil.
Shirts were also taken in the raid, which took place despite security cameras being fitted in the Allianz Arena’s dressing rooms.
Real boss Jose Mourinho said: “The stealing of Cristiano’s shoes is a shame, it’s impossible something like that could happen at the Bernabeu.”
By the end of the match the smash-and-grab of Mario Gomez’s last-minute goal was a more pressing concern.
