Celtic defender Andre Blackman wins Tackle of the Year for flattening manager Neil Lennon

Celtic have bestowed the tongue-in-cheek honour of Tackle of the Year on their young defender Andre Blackman after he lunged in on manager Neil Lennon.

The previously unreleased footage comes from a reserve match last month. Blackman battles to keep the ball in play, presumably in a bid to impress Lennon enough to give him a few more chances in the first-team.

But the slippery surface causes him to slide off the pitch and straight into the onlooking Lennon.

There’s no time for apologies as Blackman races back into position.
