Wayne Rooney's hairspray celebration a nod to Andy Carroll's 'product' (England 1-0 Ukraine)

Wayne Rooney has revealed his goal celebration after scoring England’s winner against Ukraine was a thank you to Andy Carroll and his generous approach to haircare.

Rooney, who famously had a hair transplant but still has some work to do before he catches Carroll, was scrounging from the Liverpool striker before kick-off.

He said: “I used a bit of Andy Carroll’s product before the game. He asked me to score a header. Hopefully I’ll end up with hair like him!”

OTP hopes that there is no euphemisms involved here.

On ITV’s coverage, Jamie Carragher noted that nobody from Croxteth should be using “product” in their hair.
