We will give Alen Halilovic the benefit of absolutely no doubt on the basis that he is still young, but the 16-year-old Croatian wonderkid will need to cut this out of his game if he is going to be universally popular.
At such a young age, Halilovic has burst onto the scene with goals for Dinamo Zagreb and Champions Leaue appearances. He is the youngest player to appear for Dinamo in the Champions League and youngest player ever to score in the Croatian top tier.
However, against Croatia Zagreb this weekend, and with his side trailing 1-0, Halilovic won his side a free kick with a ridiculous piece of simulation. The youngster may well have got a slight touch to the face, but he goes down as if being snipered.
Exactly what we are trying to cut down on, young man.
