Things are certainly changing at St James’ Park as the club continues its attempt to be the world’s first totally soulless club.

First they changed the name of St James’ Park to include a chav clothing company brand run by the owner.

Then they started a business relationship with a morally dubious payday loan company.

Then they appointed Joe Kinnear despite fans making clear what they thought of their new Director of Football.

And now they are changing the name of the famous Shearer’s Bar at the ground, which celebrated the club’s greatest ever striker.

In the grand scheme of all that went before this is nothing more than a drop in the ocean, but it will be viewed by fans as another way of a questionable owner making questionable decisions.
