Everton defender Tony Hibbert makes the front cover of Angling Times

Everton stalwart Tony Hibbert is this week’s cover star of the Angling Times after he caught a 42lb carp.

Rather than head to the typical footballer holiday spots, the right-back has spent the close season enjoying the carp farm he bought last year.

He fulfilled a lifelong ambition when he became the proud owner of his very own fishery. And it looks like he’s been getting plenty of use out of his facility judging by that whopping fish he has banked.
