American broadcaster NBC has won the rights to show live Premier League football on its network from this season onwards, and they have created a rather wonderful advert to underline their product.
It features comedian Jason Sudeikis, who plays Ted Lasso, a ‘soccer’ coach who takes over at Tottenham and is tasked with training the players.
The advert is a tongue-in-cheek dig at the notion that Americans know nothing about football, with some of the typical ‘yankism’ phrases on our national sport.
