Tottenham are now within easy reach of qualification for the Europa League knockout stage.
Manager Andre Villas Boas is pleased with that even if he sounded a little underwhelmed at how hard his time found it to finish off Moldova’s FC Sheriff in last night’s game.
Spurs eventually won 0-2, but the hosts ensured it was not as easy as Villas Boas would have liked.
He said: “It was as not easy. I think we deserved to take the lead.
“Every counter-attack they looked extremely dangerous. But we also has a couple of chances where we break behind that could have given us that 2-0 comfort a little bit earlier, particularly with Lennon one-on-one against the keeper.
“But in general we did enough. Get the nine points from this game which was the objective and puts us within qualification for the next game.”
