Video: Jermain Defoe talks about becoming Tottenham's top European goalscorer

Jermain Defoe became Tottenham’s top scorer in European competitions with his goal against FC Sheriff in last night’s Europa League game.

And he says he is delighted to have broken Martin Chivers’ record by bagging his 23rd goal in Europe for Spurs.

He said: “Great achievement. I just went upstairs, saw Martin… and obviously to break it is fantastic.

“I’m delighted.”
