Southampton boss Mauricio Pochettino: 'Arsenal can win the league'

Mauricio Pochettino says Arsenal can win the Premier League this season.

The Southampton manager was speaking ahead of his side’s clash with the Gunners this weekend.

His surprise package Saints squad face Arsene Wenger’s table-topping side on Saturday. And Pochettino sees no reason why they shouldn’t still be leading the way at the end of the season.

He said: “Yes of course, I think Arsenal can win the league, but I also think that other teams are going to be in the running.

“I think it is going to be a hard-fought competition all the way until the very end and I think it will be very competitive.

“It will be a very exciting climax to the season I think.”
