Porto striker Jackson Martinez says he would jump at the chance to join Arsenal.
The Gunners have been linked with a move for the Colombia international – though it had seemed that a switch to Chelsea was his most likely route into the Premier League.
According to Sky Sports, Martinez said: “When I was a kid, I cheered for Arsenal. I love their style of play, it is flowing and open, with a lot of first touch passes. It would be suitable for a player like me.
“If I get an opportunity to play for a high level Premier league club such as Arsenal, I wouldn’t hesitate to accept it.”
The 27-year-old is under contract until 2016 and has a £34 million buy-out clause, which means Arsene Wenger would have to spend big once again if he wants to sign Martinez.
