Roma are preparing to make a bid for Manchester City striker Stevan Jovetic, according to reports.
The Serie A side are looking at bringing in a proven striker and believe Jovetic would hit the ground running after previously playing for Fiorentina before signing for the Etihad outfit just over a year ago.
The 24-year-old endured a miserable debut season at the Etihad last season, suffering with a hamstring injury for most of the campaign after his £22m move.
The former Partizan star started just two Premier League matches but netted three goals from his 11 appearances off the bench.
City will listen to offers for the player but Manuel Pellegrini is happy to keep the player and give him another season to prove himself.
Jovetic has enjoyed a positive pre-season with five goals in three matches and looks to be approaching his best after his injury set-backs over the last year.
