Paperwork relating to the move was filed after Monday’s transfer deadline, but special dispensation was sought for the deal to go ahead.
The SFA has now received confirmation from FIFA that Guidetti can join the Bhoys.
A FIFA spokesperson said: “After checking the documentation received and the information contained in the international transfer matching system managed by Fifa TMS, the Scottish Football Association was informed today that the envisaged loan deal may proceed.”
But the 22-year-old attacker could still be ineligible for the Europa League because the deadline for submitting squads passed at midnight on Tuesday.
