Ipswich full-back Tyrone Mings was watched by a host of Premier League clubs during yesterday’s Championship game against Blackburn Rovers at Portman Road, according to reports.

Arsenal – the side most strongly linked with the 21-year-old defender – sent chief scout Steve Rowley to the game.

Everton scout Ian Atkins, Sunderland head of scouting Steve Houston and Newcastle United’s Peter Morris were also in attendance, claims the Sunday People.

Mings, the current Championship player of the month, has been attracting plenty of attention with his performances for the Tractor Boys so far this season.

It is possible that some of the scouts were also briefed to keep an eye on Ipswich’s 18-year-old midfielder Teddy Bishop.

Despite only breaking into the side recently, he is already catching the eye and is tipped for big things.
