Celtic defender Virgil van Dijk has confirmed he would be interested in a move to Arsenal.
The Dutchman, aged 23, is rumoured to be among the Gunners’ top transfer targets ahead of the January transfer window.
Arsene Wenger’s squad is short of defenders and the Arsenal boss has already indicated that he intends to bring in at at least another centre-back in the new year.
New Bhoys star Van Dijk has indicated that he would welcome the interest.
He told Sky Sports: “Arsenal are an amazing club.
“It’s a big club with a great history. I’m happy here just now and I want to play well and we’ll see what happens in the future.
“Until there are bids I can’t say thing. There is no rush to leave but you never know in the future.”
Manchester City and Southampton are among the other Premier League teams rumoured to be interested in signing Van Dijk.
