Celtic captain Scott Brown is a £5m January transfer target for Crystal Palace, according to reports.
Eagles boss Neil Warnock has sent scouts to watch the 29-year-old in action several times this season and is now ready to make a bid in the new year, claims The Scotsman.
Warnock has apparently highlighted Brown as a player who could bolster his midfield and help Palace in their battle against relegation this season.
The Scotland international is a key player at Celtic Park and the Bhoys would be reluctant to see him follow former team-mate Joe Ledley to Selhurst Park.
Ledley joined Palace in the summer of 2013.
