Arsenal spies again watched Ipswich defender Tyrone Mings on Saturday as the Gunners prepare to bid for the youngster.
Scout Pat Holland, a regular at the Tractor Boys’ games so far this season, was at Portman Road to watch the 1-0 win over Watford, claims the Mirror.
Mings – rated at £10m by the Championship side – was one again the target of the scouting mission.
The Gunners have been linked with the left-back, who joined from non-league Chippenham in a £10,000 deal less than two years ago, for several months and are stepping up their scouting efforts ahead of the January transfer window.
Crystal Palace had a £3m bid for Mings rejected in August.
