Chelsea are the latest Premier League side to show an interest in Ipswich youngster Tyrone Mings, according to reports.

The 21-year-old, a target for Arsenal, in recent months is now on Jose Mourinho’s radar.

The Blues boss has told the club’s scouts to keep tabs on the England Under-21 international, claims the Daily Mirror.

The left-back is apparently being viewed as a possible replacement for long-serving Chelsea skipper John Terry.

Although he currently plays his football at full-back, Mings is 6ft 3in tall and considered to have all the attributes to move inside and succeed Terry as the Blues’ left-sided centre-back.

Manchester United, Everton, Crystal Palace and Newcastle are also interested in signing Mings, but it is Arsenal who lead the pack at present.
