Liverpool hold no fear for Bournemouth in tonight’s League Cup quarter-final, says Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe.

The south coast club are enjoying a 12 game unbeaten run that sees them sitting top of the Championship while the Reds season has gone from bad to worse.

Brendan Rodgers side crashed out of the Champions League last week before losing 3-0 to bitter rivals Manchester United at the weekend.

And the Northern Irishman will be hoping for a reaction from his side with the incentive of a League Cup semi-final place at stake – but will not be getting any favours from Bournemouth.

“We certainly respect Liverpool – but I don’t think we should fear anybody,” Howe said. “Part of our blueprint is to be positive and to go into games and try to attack – and I don’t think this game will be any different.

“At the moment the lads look really confident in front of goal and, to have a chance of being successful, you need that confidence to run right through the team.”
