Tottenham Hotspur will demand a fee of around £15m for winger Andros Townsend, according to the Daily Mail.

The England international fought his way into Mauricio Pochettino’s plans in the closing stages of last season but still faces an uncertain future at White Hart Lane.

Both Aston Villa, managed by Townsend’s former Spurs boss Tim Sherwood, and Sunderland are reportedly keen to land the 23-year-old.

Townsend came through the ranks at Spurs, along with team-mates Harry Kane, Ryan Mason and Nabil Bentaleb, and is said to be determined to cement his place in Pochettino’s side.

But the Argentine coach has shown an intention to overhaul his midfield this summer, with Paulinho, Lewis Holtby and Etienne Capoue all shipped out in recent weeks and Benjamin Stambouli tipped to leave too.

Townsend has three goals in nine caps for England after bursting onto the scene in Roy Hodgson’s side’s final 2014 World Cup qualifiers.
