Aston Villa playmaker Jack Grealish has been banished to train with the club’s under-21 squad over his partying antics, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Villa boss Remi Garde has reportedly demoted Grealish, aged 20, after footage emerged showing him in a Manchester nightclub hours after the 4-0 humiliation at Everton.

With Grealish alleged to have enjoyed another night out at a Birmingham hotel the following day, Garde has decided to take action. Grealish was apparently ordered to train away from the first-team from Tuesday.

No official disciplinary action is likely to be taken given that the partying took place after a match, but the Villa Park hierarchy are thought to be angered and frustrated at the message Grealish’s behaviour send out as the club languish at the bottom of the Premier League table.

Grealish’s place in the squad to face Watford this weekend is now in doubt.

The academy graduate has not been short of controversies in his short career having been photographed allegedly inhaling nitrous oxide and, in a separate incident, being photographed lying unconscious in the street while on holiday in Tenerife.
