12: #LFC forced into an early change as Dejan Lovren is replaced by Kolo Toure (0-0)
— Liverpool FC (@LFC) February 6, 2016
Liverpool’s injury problems show no sign of going away. They have lost another two players through injury in the first-half of today’s game against Sunderland.
And once again it is hamstrings that are the problem at Anfield.
Centre-back Dejan Lovren – not long back from his last hamstring injury – limped off just 12 minutes into this afternoon’s clash. He was replaced by veteran defender Kolo Toure.
The Reds then lost midfielder Joe Allen to another hamstring injury on the stroke of half-time. Jordon Ibe came on for him just before the break.
Not the best of news for manager Jurgen Klopp, who is absent from the game after suffering a bout of appendicitis.
The only good news on the injury front is that striker Daniel Sturridge is among the substitutes for today’s game.
