The former Manchester United man is in full training for the first time this season after recovering from his knee injury.

Walcott – himself no stranger to lengthy injury layoffs – welcomed Welbeck back.

He is not expected to feature in today’s Premier League encounter with Leicester City, but is pencilled in for a return to action against Aston Villa in the FA Cup fifth round tie next weekend.
