Swansea City manager Francesco Guidolin is hoping to leave the Emirates Stadium with three points and a nice piece of memorabilia this evening.

The Italian coach’s Swans side will go up against Arsenal later today. Guidolin is not expecting an easy game against a Gunners team that will be desperate to bounce back after defeats to Barcelona and Manchester United.

But he is hopeful of securing the points and Alexis Sanchez’s shirt by the end of the game.

He told Wales Online: “It’s a difficult match because Arsenal are a good team with very important players like Alexis Sanchez. I am very happy for him. I hope to have the possibility to have his shirt after the game, but I hope also to have the points to help us in the table.”

Chile international Sanchez is a former player of Guidolin’s. The pair worked together at Italian side Udinese during the 2010/11 season.

Sanchez scored 12 goals and helped Udinese to finish fourth in the Serie A table that season. He then made his transfer to Barcelona at the end of the campaign.

Guidolin is hoping that sole season together will be enough to secure him a match-worn jersey after tonight’s encounter.
