Stone’s information seems to indicate that organisers will line-up a City vs United game.
City have already been confirmed as participants in the Chinese leg of this year’s International Champions Cup. United are not confirmed, but there have been widespread reports since last summer than they head to China ahead of the 2016/17 season.
That is likely to mean joining City in the tournament.
The two clubs faced each other yesterday in the derby game, with United emerging from the Etihad Stadium as 0-1 winners in the Premier League encounter. The rumoured summer fixture would be the next feasible meeting between the neighbours.
United are regular participants in the International Champions Cup, but have usually played in the North American edition.
