Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere made his long-awaited return from injury in last night’s under-21 game against Newcastle United.
The England international, aged 24, started the match at the Emirates Stadium and played for 65 minutes of a 3-1 win for the Gunners.

He suffered a broken leg on the eve of the current season and is yet to play a single minute of first-team football this term.
