Photos: Harry Kane goal give Spurs the lead at Stoke

Tottenham Hotspur have taken an early lead at Stoke City as they attempt to close the gap on Premier League leaders Leicester City to five points.

Striker Harry Kane was the man who made the early breakthrough.

The England international, aged 22, sent a curling effort from the edge of the penalty area round Potters keeper Shay Given and into the net to give Spurs a 12th minute lead.

Kane’s goal was his 23rd Premier League goal of the season and took him to the top of the Premier League scoring charts.
