Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge headed straight for the tunnel without stopping to shake hands with his team-mates or opponents Swansea City after today’s defeat at the Liberty Stadium.
While the other 21 players gathered in the centre circle to exchange post-match formalities, Sturridge was already on his way to the away dressing room.
BT Sport pundit Owen Hargreaves speculated that after playing 90 minutes against the Swans, Sturridge had realised he would not be starting in the Europa League semi-final second leg against Villarreal at Anfield on Thursday.
