Sporting Lisbon striker Islam Slimani is a transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur, according to Portuguese newspaper A Bola.

The Algeria international, aged 27, has a buyout clause of €30m in his Sporting contract.

Slimani is also reportedly on the radar of Premier League champions Leicester City. The report claims he favours a switch to White Hart Lane over joining the Foxes, but notes that where he ends up will also depend on the negotiations with Sporting.

He joined his current club from Algiers-based CR Belouizdad in 2013 and has just finished his third season at the Estadio Jose Alvalade.

It was his most prolific campaign to date as he scored 27 goals in 33 league games. He also has a good record of 56 goals in 108 games in all competitions since joining Sporting.

Slimani impressed with two goals for Algeria at the 2014 World Cup. He boasts a record of 23 goals in 43 appearances at international level.
