Reports had indicated the former Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa and Everton winger, aged 49, was on a football pitch at the time.
Those suggestions were backed up by Ginola, who suggested that conditions in the south of France were perhaps too warm for a kickabout at the time.
Despite apparently being unconscious as he was airlifted to a hospital in Monaco, he appeared to be in good spirits and even found time to mock FIFA.
