Ex-Spurs and Newcastle winger David Ginola reacts to quadruple heart bypass

The ex-France international was airlifting to hospital in Monaco yesterday afternoon after suffering what was reported to be a heart attack during a kickabout on a pitch in the south of France.

He posted on Twitter yesterday evening to bemoan his decision to play football in the midday heat and to joke about the World Cup in Qatar.

But he subsequently went under the knife for a quadruple bypass. Ginola said he was now resting after the best sleep of his life.
