Liverpool are ready to offload midfielder Joe Allen this summer, despite his starring performances for Wales at Euro 2016, according to the Telegraph.
The 26-year-old has been in excellent form in France as he helped Chris Coleman’s side to top Group B and qualify for the knockout stages, but the Reds will accept bids of £10m for him.
Allen this month enters the final 12 months of the five-year contract he signed when he moved to Anfield from Swansea City in 2012. There has not yet been any indication that Liverpool chiefs intend to offer him a new deal.
The Swans are said to be pushing hard to bring Allen back to the Liberty Stadium and have reportedly been quoted £10m for their former player.
They received a £15m fee when Allen followed Brendan Rodgers from Swansea to Liverpool.
Allen’s performances this summer might encourage other teams to make an approach to sign him.
