With results from the regular season now in the books, the best-performing teams advance to the playoff rounds, with the format changing from a round-robin to straight knockout football.

There are some familiar names in the running to make it to Super Bowl LVIII and a few underdogs hoping to appear at the Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada. Playoffs Get Underway

The playoffs begin on Saturday, January 13, when the Cleveland Browns take on the Houston Texans, and that eagerly-anticipated game opens the floodgates.

There are three games on the Sunday playoff schedule, including the Green Bay Packers and Dallas Cowboys from the AT&T Stadium. Monday pairs the Los Angeles Rams and Detroit Lions, before the Philadelphia Eagles play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to bring the curtain down.

The best Super Bowl betting sites are offering a long list of eye-catching odds for all of these games. You can predict the winner by playing the Moneyline or rummage around in the specials for something a bit different, like total points and handicap. There’s something for everyone.

If you prefer, you can look beyond this week’s playoffs and predict the winner of next month’s Super Bowl. The earlier you bet on the champion, the better odds you’ll receive. Take a look below for the current Super Bowl betting.

49ers are Favorites

Traders expect a competitive playoff and Super Bowl next month but have chosen their camp wisely. Many of the biggest names in online sports betting worldwide are strongly behind the San Francisco 49ers in their quest to become six-time Super Bowl champions.

The 49ers are hot betting favorites to live up to expectations and cap an excellent season with a monumental win on Paradise. Will they live up to expectations?

The 49ers impressed during the regular season, finishing on top of the NFC West with their stats showing a dozen wins against five defeats with 491 points scored and just 298 conceded. When taking a closer look at those numbers, we notice San Fran is one of the highest-scoring teams this season, behind only the Dallas Cowboys.

San Francisco’s form makes them worthy favorites, and they’ve won this prize many times in the past but haven’t finished on the top step since 1994. Will that Super Bowl drought cost them dear in the later rounds?

We wouldn’t put anyone off backing the favorite, particularly as part of any Super Bowl Parlays, as they dominate the betting on merit, but we’re happy to shoot for one at bigger odds.

Cowboys on Target

It has been a rollercoaster season for followers of the Dallas Cowboys, who have blown hot and cold during the regular season. The five-time Super Bowl champions haven’t lived up to the hype in recent seasons, falling short of the lofty expectations of their fans. But there’s a renewed sense of optimism in the camp under head coach Mike McCarthy, who has the team firing once again.

Dallas topped the NFC East, returning stats of a dozen wins and five defeats with 509 points scored in 17 games and 315 conceded. The Cowboys are an attacking team full of flair with the stomach for a fight and character to win big games. They were a joy to watch during the regular season and signed up with an impressive 38-10 win over Washington earlier this month. Cowboys have impressed us so far, but it’s obvious there’s more to come from this team, and we expect to see them go through the gears during the knockout stages.

They face a tough playoff against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday in Texas but enjoy the backing of vocal and passionate support, which will make all the difference in a competitive contest. If Dallas can battle through that game - as they are expected to by the bookies - it’ll add more confidence to their game ahead of upcoming challenges. If the Cowboys can continue their great run of form, for us they're one of the best Super Bowl prop bets out there.

Specials

Online gamblers looking to have their say in American Football’s biggest attraction have plenty to catch their interest. Bettors can predict the winner of the Super Bowl or any game from the schedule. But the sportsbooks know that finding a winner at this stage is no mean feat. That’s why you can take advantage of several specials to enhance your enjoyment of the competition and improve your chances of landing a profit. A good way to minimise the risk is by checking out some betting apps that give you free bets on the NFL.

Super Bowl specials allow you to predict which Conference will win the famous trophy or the winning division. But we love the MVP betting as it offers great value to those who have been paying attention this season. So, which name will be crowned Most Valuable Player?

There are some huge stars in the running, including current market leader Lemar Jackson, who stands out as the man to beat. He has been influential this term and has more in the tank. He’s put under pressure for the MVP prize by Brock Purdy and Josh Allen, who are also respected in the betting.
