Hull striker was tweeting during the excitement

Following Phil Brown’s heroic tales of talking a woman out of jumping from the Humber Bridge, the fine folks at Twofootedtackle alerted us to this tweet from Jozy Altidore.

The message confirms that the Tigers were on the bridge on Wednesday morning but while Altidore found the time to comment on wind conditions, he neglected to mention his manager’s heroics.

It also shows that Brown’s methods might not have worked entirely.

He said: “We were looking for clarity. Did we find it? Absolutely. When you’re jogging you can’t really speak. When you’re walking, you can. So that’s what we did.”
