Poland goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny was a relieved man as he watched sub goalie Przemyslaw Tyton save the spot-kick he had conceded in the opening match of Euro 2012.
The Arsenal man was sent-off after bringing down Greece’s Dimitris Salpigidis in the box with the score at 1-1.
Szczesny watched the resulting penalty on a TV screen in the tunnel and celebrated when it emerged that he wasn’t going to become Poland’s public enemy number one after all.
