Over the past few years OTP’s affections for crazed commentators has stuck primarily with Italian reporter Tiziano Crudeli, who reacts to goals as if he has scored it himself, won the lottery and stepped on shattered glass.

Tiziano provides a visual treat, but for pure audio exultation we may have a new love interest. We believe his name is Tomasz Zimoch, that he commentates on Polski Radio and that he was rather happy to inform his listeners that Robert Lewandowski’s strike had got the host nation up and running at Euro 2012.

Like an Alton Towers rollercoaster, Zimoch takes his excitment up notch by notch as the Poles pass the ball around in the final third, sealing the prolonged anticipation with a an ecstatic G-force imploding descent in to exultation. Three prolonged tectonic-plate nudging blasts of “Goal!” are followed by a slalom of vocal-chord shredding descriptions of the goal.

If someone called marry that commentary with this video of the equally thunderous Warsaw Fan Zone, OTP – and the nation of Poland – would be very grateful indeed.
