He’s back!

After successfully foreseeing England’s squeaky-bum victory over Sweden on Friday night, amphibious soothsayer Howard makes his triumphant return for Roy’s Boys’final group game against the co-hosts.

While his predicting powers are not in question – indeed, several major sports bookmakers are said to have put a price on his head – not so much is known about Howard’s shadowy past, other than his brief spell in Hollywood, starring opposite Tim Robbins in the 1986 classic “Howard The Duck”.

Rumours abound to this day that the film was a vanity project of Howard’s, produced and marketed using the proceeds of an accumulator bet based on all 52 games of the 1986 World Cup in Mexico. Sources close to Ladbrokes suggest that losses of more than £27,000,000 were made on the tournament.

All we do know is that Howard will have his work cut out over the next couple of weeks, as he picks the winners of each individual knockout game, on the road to the final in Kiev on July 1.

More from Howard.
