BBC pundit Mark Lawrenson’s weekly predictions have long been the cause of consternation and fun-poking among visitors to the Beeb’s website.

That has continued, with somebody going to the effort of compiling a Premier League table as it would look if all his predictions had been accurate with the current league table.

While we don’t envy Lawro in having to put his neck on the line with his weekly predictions, the league table does throw up at least a couple of blind spots.

Firstly, it appears he can’t find it within himself to go against his beloved Liverpool. The ex-Reds man had his former side 3rd in the table and to still be unbeaten at this stage in the season based on the results he thought they would get. As it happens, they’re actually in 8th.

Lawro has also clearly been expecting Leicester City’s bubble to burst for a while. He has them at 17th in the table, whereas they are currently 2nd.
