Manchester United youngster Nick Powell is closing in a loan move to Championship side Hull City, according to the Hull Daily Mail.
The Tigers have reportedly struck a deal to sign Powell after negotiating with United this week.
Powell, aged 21, moved to Old Trafford from Crewe Alexandra in a £6m deal in 2012.
He scored on his Premier League debut against Wigan Athletic, but fell out of favour and was sent on a short-lived loan spell at Leicester City.
The former England Under-21 international then spent nine months sidelined with a hamstring injury before making a surprise return to United’s first-team plans in December. That included a substitute appearance in the must-win Champions League game at Wolfsburg, but manager Louis van Gaal has seemingly now decided the midfielder is surplus to requirements.
Powell is out of contract at the end of the season and could make a permanent switch to the KC Stadium if he impresses on loan.
