Manchester United sensation Marcus Rashford’s place in the team is under threat, despite the teenager having scored four goals in two games.

The Manchester Evening News reports that Anthony Martial, whose absence through injury has given Rashford his chance against Midtjylland and Arsenal, was in the squad that checked in at The Lowry Hotel this lunchtime to prepare for this evening’s Premier League game against Watford.

Manager Louis van Gaal now has a tricky decision to make: does he take 18-year-old Rashford out of the limelight for a bit after his sudden emergence or see if his goalscoring streak will continue?

If he wants to keep Rashford in the team, Martial can operate in a wide role. But both Memphis Depay and Jesse Lingard have been in impressive form, so neither deserves to be left out.

It is perhaps the first time Van Gaal has had the good kind of team selection headache so far this season.
