They are led by a champion: Leicester City left-back Christian Fuchs captains the side.

Stoke City winger Marko Arnautovic is also heading to France for the tournament.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Kevin Wimmer, aged 23, might have been worried about what effect a season on the bench at White Hart Lane would have on his chances of adding to his three caps.

But he was hugely impressive during a prolonged lay-off for team-mate Jan Vertonghen in the second-half of the season and takes his place. He faces stiff competition from the likes of Dynamo Kiev’s Aleksandar Dragović to claim a starting place, though.

Watford’s Sebastian Prödl, aged 28, makes it a trio of Premier League defenders in the squad.
