The 21-year-old was a regular for United’s under-21 and reserve team, and had made one senior appearance for the Red Devils. That came in a Premier League game against Arsenal when he came on as a substitute for Ander Herrera under Louis van Gaal last season.
Weir posed with a Tigers shirt after finalising his move to the KCOM Stadium.
He is no stranger to Hull’s caretaker boss Mike Phelan, who was the long-time assistant to Sir Alex Ferguson at United.
Weir joins former team-mate Will Keane on Humberside.
