Monday Night Football for week 14 is a double feature, and the Titans against the Dolphins is the more exciting matchup. The main actors of the other MNF game are the Packers and Giants, but the AFC clash has higher stakes. Miami aims to be the first seed in the conference, while Tennessee will try to breathe life into its disappointing 4-8 record and retain a theoretical chance for a postseason appearance.

Hard Rock Stadium is the designated stage for the Monday (December 11) matchup between the 13.5-point favorite Dolphins and the visiting team Titans. Let’s examine the odds available at the best betting sites with free bets for this AFC duel.

The Dolphins Have an Arsenal of Offensive Weapons

The Dolphins are back home for the second time in 42 days and are fighting for the top of the AFC after three straight wins, improving their record to 9-3. They have a good chance of dethroning the Ravens if they don't slip up against the Titans. Yet, a loss is hard to expect after the explosive plays of WR Tyreek Hill and a consistent season from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

The signal-caller has thrown 3,457 yards, running third in most passing yards this season. He is averaging 288 yards in the air and has 24 touchdowns to 10 interceptions. Not surprisingly, Tua's favorite target is WR Tyreek Hill, who leads the NFL with 1,481 receiving yards and 12TDs and justifies his nickname as the Cheetah.

"Those guys have got a really good secondary, fly to the ball real well, they punch the ball out," said Hill about the Titans' defense.

Another potent weapon of the Dolphins' offense is RB Raheem Mostert, who has 14 TDs and averages 69.0 yards on the ground per game.

The Dolphins multidimensional offense is responsible for an average of 32 points per game, ranking second in the NFL in scoring. The defense keeps opponents to 22.2 points per contest and has generated 15 takeaways, with star cornerback Jalen Ramsey having three interceptions in only five games played this season. Miami has a Super Bowl-caliber team, something they should prove tonight.

The Titans Score Points at A Modest Pace

The Titans have had bad luck this season against Florida-based teams, losing to the Jaguars and Tampa Bay. Now, Miami will try to distance them from the playoffs. Although the season appears to be lost for Tennessee, the math says they still have a fighting chance for a wild card spot, but only if they win tonight. The problem is the Titans have lost four out of their last five games. Their offense is modestly generating points, with an average of 17.8 points per game, ranking 25th in the league.

One positive aspect of the season is that Tennessee might have found their future quarterback in Will Levis. The rookie has 1,266 yards, averaging 211 passing yards with 7 TDs and two interceptions after only three starts. Running back Derrick Henry remains a pivotal player on offense with 70 rushing yards per game and 8 TDs.

The passing game and WR DeAndre Hopkins received a spark after Levis got the starting QB job, and Hopkins found the ball in the end zone on five occasions. The defense is not outshining the offense, ranking 16th in the NFL for points conceded at 21.3 points per night. Defensive end Denico Autry leads the team in sacks and can be a threat to Tua.

Betting Prediction

The odds at bookie apps favor Miami with a -900 betting line on a moneyline bet compared to +600 odds on Tennessee. The points spread of 13.5 is high, and the odds are -118 on the Dolphins to cover and -108 on the Titans to win or lose with less than 13 points. The total is 46 points with -112 odds for the Over bet and -108 odds for the Under bet. The Dolphins are the more likely winner of this matchup, and the Over bet is tempting.
