Papiss Cisse may have struggled at times this season to match his sterling efforts during the last campaign, but last night he scored the goal that took Newcastle into the last eight of the Europa League.
So enamoured with his goal was Cisse that he lost the plot, channelling former Newcastle player Temuri Ketsbaia’s style of kicking the advertising hoardings after his late goal against Bolton in 1998.
In fairness, Cisse didn’t go quite as silly, but it still showed a hugh amlount of passion from a player that is usually seen as a calm and cool character.
